Ben Callegari FACPA
I completed my undergraduate and post-graduate training at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). I've also undertaken training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy.
Having worked for a decade in the field, I've develop my skills working with clients presenting with complex psychological conditions. I have trained and worked in both the public and private sectors, including a specialist outpatient setting providing Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. I have an interest in working with complex trauma, personality disorders, mood and anxiety disorders.
I enjoy working with the LGBTIQ community and bringing a level of empathy and understanding many such clients value. Prior to moving to Melbourne in 2009, I was an active member of the Sydney LGBTIQ community.
I am registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and am an endorsed provider of Clinical Psychology services with Medicare. In addition, I'm also a founding member and Fellow of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).
